If you don’t know Josh James yet, you have to remember his name.
The company Josh created, Omniture, is a leader in the Web Analytics / Testing & Optimization field .
Omniture was able to to manage an amazing growth, thanks to a compelling SAS (software as a service) business model, a strong product positioning and a smart external growth strategy (Omniture’s acquisition include companies such as WebSideStory, Visual Sciences, Touch Clarity and Offermatica). I am really impressed by the way this guy developed his company.

We had to compete with them on several deals when my partners and I launched Holistis – our testing & optimization software. My conclusion: The Omniture folks are everywhere, the sales team is sharp,  well organized and the product offering well structured and attractive. Last but not least, they have a strong marketing.

De nombreuses marquent recourent, parfois depuis de nombreuses années, à l’utilisation de l’e-mail marketing.
Néanmoins, rares sont celles qui tirent profit d’un programme de e-mail structuré comme celui de Harley Davidson, visant notamment à anticiper et traiter avec une systématique très bien pensée les objections types des prospects(ex: financement). Lorsqu’ils existent, ces programmes sont souvent intégrés à des campagnes marketing ponctuelles mais elles ne sont que rarement présentes en continu sur le site de la marque.

Pourtant, les bénéfices liés à ces programmes e-mail sont nombreux:

- augmentation du taux de conversion visiteurs/acheteurs
- génération de leads qualifiés
- stimulation des ventes on/off-line
- enrichissement de la base CRM
